I am quite the Linux beginner, but so far, I am enjoying my journey on CachyOS (Linux Arcxh Distro). Until yesterday, Bambu Studio worked flawlessly, since today, it wont start anymore.
Thanks to AI, I managed to identy the problem. It has something to do with a mesa update, which I did today via “Apdatifier” (Update manager). Specifically the libosmesa library 8´ish. This was the first time for me, AI (although it provided a lot of steps), it felt like it moved me closer into a rabbit hole and it did not work.
Anyone else having problems? I used to start Bambu Studio via an .appimage.
Edit: Nevermind my post. I managed to install Bambu Studio via Flatpak :). Works like a charm now.
Do you use Gnome desktop???
The problem seems to be the combination of Gnome desktop 49 + Wayland.
I use Fedora + Gnome and have experienced the same issue with Bambu Lab Studio, both in AppImage and Flatpak.
I switched to Fedora + KDE and it works perfectly.
I’m using CachyOS + KDE Plasma, can’t even install the thing. Tried using paru, but it’s resulting in some 404 errors for a few dependent packages. Orca manage to turn the lamp on/off, but I can’t send anything to the printer, actually, can’t even move it’s head in any axis direction.
Firmware fully update. I believe Orca is having problems probably because Bambu restricted something, or at least that’s what I read as a possible cause.
