Hi, after using Bambu studio on my desktop, I’m trying to install it on my laptop.
Installing the latest release (both from the website and from github), the installation process succeeds but then when trying to open the program it just won’t do it.
the blue wheel spins for something like half a second, then nothing. Nothing pops up in task manager, no splash screen, nothing in the task bar, no logs in the install folder.
Looking online I only find problems about bambu studio crashing, and here on the forum there’s only a single thread with no solution or update. I’m stumped! If you have any idea of what to do, even just to diagnose the issue, let me know.
Edge is installed (my main browser in fact), windows media player is installed (it does say “legacy” though, I have no other option). The same release also works on my other computer.
I have seen people asking for logs from the AppData/Roaming/BambuStudio folder, but while it exists, it’s empty on my computer. Files are in C:/Program files/Bambu Studio. Still no logs though
What graphics chip is in your laptop and what CPU are you running?
If you want to diagnose why a program is not executing, you want to look into the Windows 10 event viewer. Search for Bambu Studio in the event viewer and there will be an error message. That message can often lead to the reason for the crash. So if it says something like NVXXX.dll not responding, that could be an NVIDIA driver issue.
Event viewer is too broad a topic to cover here quickly. There are plenty of YouTube tutorials. Try those first and if you still having problems, post here again.

My bamboo studios won’t work at all because every Time I try to open the app it says corrupt file and tells me to delete the file but when re download it and click the app it says the same thing someone pls help
