All support parameters set to default for Tree(auto).
This layer is offset.
The next layer above it goes back to the correct location as can be seen here.
Messing around with different settings for the support parameters changes the layer where this offset occurs, but the offset is still always present. Can’t be my geometry, since the supports are being generated by the slicer not my CAD file…
Sometimes the shape of the model requires a different selection of support for it to work correctly
Have you tried critical regions only or Slim Supports ?
This defect occurs in the middle of the tree. It has nothing to do with the shape of the model. The next branch is about 30 layers above this point.
I can work around it, that’s not a problem. Been 3D printing since around 2010. I know all (most of) the tricks.
Just figured (hoped) someone was paying attention to bugs and it’d get on a list to be fixed.
I’m experiencing the exact same absurdity, though my account is apparently too young to embed images or links.
I removed all painted on support controls and added them again in slightly different places - now three are three offset layers instead of just one, but with small enough offsets that the print will probably succeed:
The bottom most of these offset layers is over 400 layers from the first branch, so I don’t think that’s a contributing factor.
does anybody knows how to make support more easy to remove on the bambu studio? sorry to write this down here in this topic but i am unable to create new topic
