Spoke too soon. After 1.5 hours into a print the camera freeze started again.
Was off to a good start though.
Yep, works fine for a while then just freezes. Stopping and starting it resolves the issue most of the time. On some occasions it’s just completely crashing out.
I cannot report camera issues on the X1C with v1.7xx but when I open the model tab for the SD card on the printer via BambuStudio, the app just crashes.
Have just updated to bambu studio 1.7.3.50 and firmware 1.04 and while it seems to take a little longer to hang, the issue is still there…
I have Studio 1.7.3.50 and FW 1.04. Camera freezes too. Studio crashes more often. I hope the Bambulab gets a handle on it quickly.
I updated FW, power cycled the machine, then updated the Studio app, then did a full recalibration of the printer, then did a calibration of the 4 filaments loaded in my AMS, then did a print. Came out as good as any prior print (maybe better, I also did the belt tightening thing). It did pick larger K values than I had previously chosen with the Orca manual calibration, but the print was blobless so those values were “right” for whatever the new FW is doing.
Watched it on my tablet for a bit after I went to bed (nothing puts me to sleep faster than watching a 3D printer do the same things over and over and over again. Better than counting sheep ). There may have been an occasional stutter in the video, but it never froze or hung for more than a few seconds during the 5 minutes or so I was watching it.
I don’t think the video on my PC behaved any differently.
Might want to see if you observe the same stuttering with the Handy app. If you do, it’s a network problem. If you don’t, it’s an issue with the Studio app and/or your PC’s setup.
Handy app is working as it always has. Its just the video on bambu studio on pc and its not a stutter, the video just freezes and doesn’t update until it is stopped and restarted.
It does seem to be a bit better with latest F/W and Studio but problem is still there.
BTW. Read on another thread that someone has found that the issue may be caused by windows using a graphics accelerator rather than the inbuilt graphics. I’ve not managed to test it yet, but apparently fixed by setting to inbuilt graphics only. Would be intersting to know if everyone who has problems has a dedicated graphics card or not. I have a gforce 3060 in my laptop i run bambu studio on so could be the cause…
Do you still experience these problems when using 1.7.3.50?
Yes still freezes but not as frequently.
Windows 11 - Nvidia 1060 6GB Ram - 32 GB ram on Motherboard
Bambu Studio Version v01.07.03.50
P1P Firmware version 1.04
Unfortunately, even with the latest version of
Bambu Studio v1.7.4.52, the camera freezes.
(Windows 11)
Same here, but also the camera will speed up (like a time lapse) until it catches up to realtime. Also, every time I shutdown Studio I get an “Unexpected Shutdown” error. I’m running it on a MacBook Pro with Ventura 13.4.1. Never had these issues before the update.
In case anyone still needs some help…

Haven’t tried it yet myself but is the same resolution as suggested on another thread but I never got round to working out how to disable the gpu for bamabu studio only. Hopefully this works!
