Hi. Has anyone else found v1.7 to be a bit unstable? I’m finding the video monitor freezes after a few minutes. It can be stopped and restarted but the whole program has then crashed a couple of times as well…
No mine works fine, I did have to sign out and back in again, but that was it, it is all working tickety boo

I am seeing the same thing as Amused-Yak. Video feed drops out occasionally. Program loads very slow. Switch from Device to Prepare stutters or sometimes even freezes or crashes.
The home page also is blank, doesn’t show recent projects.
I am having the same problem and no improvement with version 1.7.2.51 which was just released.
This is with a P1P and the factory installed camera. Does not seem to make any difference what other applications I have running or even with no other applications running.
That’s disappointing. I just downloaded 1.7.2 and was hoping it would fix the problem. Never had a problem with v1.6.
Will test 1.7.2 tomorrow and if problem is still there i will raise a support ticket. Hopefully it will get patched soon…
Stable here, that was the first release of 1.7 and the 2nd

More likely dependent on some other program(s) running on the computer in question… PC hardware is surprisingly standardized nowadays. Comes in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, but the Operating Systems impose limits on how much HW variation there can be. Especially with very recent systems, everyone uses the same chipsets because PCIe bus speeds are so fast it’s really hard/expensive to design the circuits for yourself.

Definitely had bugs for me too, but I haven’t used the camera yet. I had an odd disconnect of the connection when transferring files in the calibration mode on a P1P. To be fair that was on a computer that had Zscaler installed which is very aggressive when it comes to ports and external communication. So, there could definitely be some firewall settings complicating things. That said the same PC worked clean with 1.62.
Same here, even with the hot fix, the video is unstable on the studio. Wasn’t a problem with the previous version.
Seems more stable on the mobile app.

Sometimes it takes a few minutes. Also seems to happen when you leave it running and go to another app like browser or something then return to studio window its frozen.
No issues here. I compile from source.
My camera still works like the day i got it. Sometimes it is slow but always loads up fine.

same problem with me. Camera freezes and crashes. Deleting and reinstalling the plugin doesn’t help.
The latest P1P firmware and Bambu Studio updates seem to have fixed this problem!!

Yes. it crashes, a lot. And none of the manual calibration stuff seems to work.
Thats good to know! Will update asap. I did raise a support ticket but not heard back yet. Hopefully firmware does the job!
