I am a user of a Linux (Arch) operating system and glad that Bambu Studio runs under it. After I bought the H2D and hopefully the cutting tool will be available soon, I wanted to get a taste of the software. Unfortunately, I realize that there is no software in the repository.
Are there plans to make the software executable under Linux or is the software already available somewhere for testing like beta test?
August 10 Edit: Deleting this post content, as I was referring people to the Linux version of Studio, not the Suite for H2D, which does not exist for Linux users.

Thanks for the link. But this is the studio software for 3d printing. I am talking about the Suite software for cutting and laser.

As far as I know,
Bambu Suite has not been released yet. At least not yet as a public beta or a public release version, you may have to wait for them to release the cutting module for that.

I e-mailed support and it sounds like us Linux users are out of luck in two ways right now:
“Linux is in the development stage, we appreciate your patient for it.”
However, I don’t want to buy a product unless I can build its software. Bambu Studio is awesomely on GitHub but they say the following for the laser and cutting software:
“Bambu Suite won’t be open-sourced recently, so no GitHub at present.”
Doesn’t really sound good. Maybe it’s also a safety measure because of the laser.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed for Linux users.
FWIW, meanwhile I’m running it in a qemu instance with Windows. While operation isn’t as smooth as on a native installation, at least it works. Haven’t had any luck with Wine/Bottles yet.
It seems to be written in Qt, so at least the efforts to port the largest parts of it to Linux should be manageable. Fingers crossed it will happen.
I also emailed support, no real answer yet, neither yes or no.

…and what makes it even worse is that you can’t use any other software for cutting and lasering with the H2D.
I suggest you take your business elsewhere. You’re better off with a dedicated machine for laser work anyway. You don’t want a messy, potentially dangerous laser cutter in your 3D printer, or even in your house where you’d probably keep a printer.
This is a horrible design. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s a predatory marketing trick that feeds off of FOMO. I have a feeling that a lot of people who were not even in the market for laser cutter yet suddenly believed they were, once this printer was announced.
It might be okay if you very rarely use it (but then what’s the value?) AND you’re very short on space… and you’re willing to use an operating system that controls or spies on you.
I’m glad BL decided to trash their software with that ridiculous “Bambu Connect” rubbish (And it’s STILL not even out for Linux yet!) to pull me out of the FOMO grip so that I could make the wise decision to boycott this company’s products. (You’re also better off using Orca rather than Bambu Studio and disabling all cloud networking gimmicks, but that’s another topic.)
Fwiw, I asked back at support as I had an open ticket about this still, and the reply was that the plan is to release a Linux build later this year.
I like too use Linux on every day use. Unfortunately bambu lab does not have great Linux support and bambu suit is off limits for Linux. Ba,bu studio work but even that is not fully supported. It is joke not to have proper installation like any other Linux programs have. Need to click on appimage every single time what is not installed thingy. Yes there is 3rd part installation scripts but that is bad engineering
+1 for Linux support. Replaced my Win10 machine with Ubuntu when it EOL’d and found Suite does not run with Bottles.
Need Linux support as well. I can´t integrate the H2D into my current production environment. Going back to Windows is not an option.
Tried installing it in Winboat, or even a VM with an actual Windows running on it - no luck. I found some logs naming Qt5WebEngineCore.dll as the problem. Cross referencing the Release-Notes of Bambu Suite i found an entry in V1.0.3.51 where they fixed “Could not be launched on some systems”. Maybe this is NOT really fixed, and there is a way to run the Windows-Version on Linux… i will keep trying… even if this is just a temporary fix. Really need the Linux version in the long run.
It’s embarrassing that there is no native support for the suite programme on Linux.
