Hi. Newbie here, so please be gentle! - I’ve looked and can’t find this anywhere else, so I’m taking the plunge…
I can install, but cannot run Bambu Suite. I’m using a Steam Deck, so it’s not cutting edge tech, but it is happily running Windows 11 and seems to exceed the spec requirements, such as I can tell.
I have an A1 and an A1 mini, and was set to order an A2L, but thought I’d just check the software first. If I can’t run the software I can’t get that or any of the H2s either (at least not for what I want them to do).
I’ve tried a variety of things, including removing and disabling software and multiple reboots and installations in differing locations. I have no HD capacity issues and everything is up to date. I tried an older version of the software, but am fast losing the will… Any help gratefully received.
If it’s relevant, Bambu Studio runs, but the performance has become very sluggish with recent updates.
Thanks.
Forgot to say… I have raised a ticket, but my faith was a little rocked when the chat handler hadn’t heard of Bambu Suite at all and was borderline insistent that I had to be talking about either Bambu Handy or Bambu Studio :-/
Could you please describe this more precisely: Does Windows try to open the program? Does it appear briefly in Task Manager? Does an error message appear?
You can also use the built-in Windows Event Viewer to browse logs of all events on your computer, including when things have gone wrong. Launch Event Viewer by typing event into the Start menu search bar and clicking Event Viewer.
It might also be interesting to know which version you want to use:
Otherwise, take a look at this: It lists many different solutions to problems.

Steps to fix an issue where Bambu Studio does not load on Windows
There are some cases where Bambu Lab does not load correctly on Windows. This issue is caused by Windows Media Player feature not being enabled, and it’s mostly present for Windows N versions.
Here’s how to solve this problem:
Hi. Thank you so much. I’ll take a proper look at what you’ve provided tomorrow.
Re: the failure to launch… No error messages and no appearances on the task bar (unless it’s too quick for me to notice). The blue “I’m doing something” circle appears twice and then nothing at all.
I did take a quick look at the logs, but couldn’t decipher anything meaningful. I’ll try again tomorrow.
As I say, many thanks. Very much appreciated.
Hi. Resolved thanks!
It was a combination of a Steam Deck video driver issue (I had to remove and replace them) and Bambu Suite not visible providing an error code.
I’d previously tried the latest and the last ‘pre 1.2’ versions of Bambu Suite with no error monitors, so, leading on from your sage words above, I thought I’d try v1.0.0. This worked, as it gave me an Open GL2.0 related error which led me in the right direction.
Thanks again. Very much appreciated.
