Bambu Suite - Print Then Cut?

Ok - Love the printer- been flawless from a 3D printer standpoint. I just started using the Cutting module this evening. Long time Silhouette user so I’m fairly familiar with the workflow of cutting / plotting.

I know the software is new, but it’s fairly basic in it’s current form. What I cannot seem to figure out is the Print Then Cut feature. I import a graphic object fine, I set the object to print then cut. In the preview, everything looks great and the cut line is in the proper spot. Now I need to print the sheet so I can place it on the cut bed.

----- How do you print out of this software? ----

I cannot find anywhere to set up a local inkjet printer to send the “print” part of the process to. There are no setup options for 2d printers, no shortcut keys, etc etc. If I have to print from an external source, all I can figure out is to import a snapshot from the birdseye camera and try to manually place a cut line - which is messy and not accurate.

Is this process different in Bambu Suite? It’s been a standard issue feature in other cutters since… forever?

Hoping I am a temporary victim of early adoption :grimacing:

I’m sitting here with the same issue.

You need to start the ‘preparation stage’ at which time a popup will appear to instruct you to print to a connected inkjet/laser etc.

I guess it’s modal so you don’t print in another session, accidentally move stuff around, then get confused why it doesn’t line up.

THANK YOU for the link. I will say it’s a very bizarre workflow, but I am glad it was user error and not the software. I will play around with this tonight and see how it goes.

i tried to create a topic but it wont let me. i would like to know when they will add the abbility to make grid lines to place multiple images accuratly.

i am trying to print 12 business cards on a plate and the auto batch doesnt reconize the 12 cards for auto placement so i need to do it manualy but its hard to place all 12 cards by eye i would need to be able to place a grid pattern

will they add this feature?

Does anyone know how this works with an A2L ?

Bambu suite led me to the worst bambu lab experience.

Just bought an A2L with the cutting module, and just figured it out that this software it’s an absolute joke regarding bambu lab standards.

Shouldn’t have bought the cutter module, what a waste of money..

The printer is amazing by the way!
