Bambu Watch: Software Request (Please Vote!)

Hi everyone, I would love it if there was a program dedicated to watching the printers camera(s). I think it would be helpful because if you have a slow computer, running Bambu Studio takes a lot of power to just watch the camera Add to the poll below if you want it or don’t!

Hi @AusEck -

There already is a program to watch the camera, it’s the Bambu Handy app for your phone. I’m not sure it’s a great idea to have a separate computer software just for the camera.

I just think it would be helpful, because you can like picture in picture for you computer, not on a phone

you could try a android tablet even on a android smart tv. pip.

Used to be, you could configure your printer to stream RTSP in LAN mode, and that stream was preserved when you went back to Cloud mode. And you could watch multiple RTSP feeds on a computer with any program that can play multiple streams, like VLC.

Not sure if this still works with current security model changes.

But if you don’t want/need Cloud services, you could probably put all your printers in LAN mode, leave them in LAN mode, and see the video streams from them all that way.

I remember a lot of discussion about this maybe 1.5 years ago. Don’t remember the details, but some searching for something like “bambu camera rtsp” will likely get you plenty of hits to start reading…

Have an Apple TV, but it will time out eventually, so in long prints, it would be helpful, like while I am working at my desk

Well, I like the cloud services, and running and monitoring prints when I am not home… I think it still could be helpful…

@Tanklet Can you please add this to the plan list?
