All of a sudden, my Bambu X1C is doing this… I have pulled everything apart in the printer and the AMS and cleaned and replaced all PTFE tubes, with shorter and longer ones, to see if it makes any difference, but it seems to roughly do the same.
Everything was working until this weekend, and then it just started doing this. Seems to do it from any AMS slot with any filament about 50-75% of the time. The printer is about 2 years old but not used daily, and maintenance is performed.
It’s as if the AMS doesn’t have enough power to push the filament anymore.
Any ideas what else I can check?

I tested a longer loop inside to make sure the filament has 100% clean path:
Did you inspect/replace the AMS tubes inside the AMS? There is 4 of them, one for each slot before they merge into 1 tube for the output of the AMS itself.
Friction is the cause, the question is where it is. Did you look closely at the inside of the tube to see if the hole is elongated? Have you tried putting the AMS on the floor/table that the printer is on with a shorter feed tube?
Occasionally, when filament isn’t manufactured uniformly and certain sections are deformed/mashed, or when using a spool that was dried at too high a temperature causing the filament strands to fuse together, you’ll get this kind of problem where filament loading stops at a specific point. Could you take a look at the filament you’re currently using?
Alternatively, there are cases where the PTFE tube has aged or is installed with too sharp a bend, causing it to stop due to resistance. But based on the photo you sent, the PTFE installation looks correct and the cable doesn’t seem particularly worn.
Does the spool spin properly in the AMS? If you could record a video showing more detail of what sound the AMS makes when the problem occurs and post it to the community, I’d be able to take a closer look at the issue
Its currently a little better i printed a 260 color change yesterday with only 50 ish errors, still alot but way better than before, i will get a video when i can. Thanks
