Bambulab ABS prints cracking on layer lines days after print

Hi everyone, I’m new to the Bambulab ecosystem and my X1C with AMS has been working very well. Very different from my many previous years of 3D printing experience, where I always had to be tweaking and paying attention to every little detail.
Anyway, I’ve printed a few large things in Bambulab ABS (grey) and all printed perfectly, without any issues first try! I used the default ABS profile from Bambulab. One design was the large poop chute that’s on MakerWorld (I know that’s a waste of good ABS, but I didn’t realize how big it was until it was printed… :persevere:) and the other was my own design which I had printed in PLA+ before on my old printer and it gets some sun exposure, which means it warped after a few months of use.

All my ABS prints cracked open a few days after the print was deployed and I was wondering if anyone had the same issue or any tips to stop it happening again, as I’d like to keep using the material for other things?

Here are some photos of the layer splits:

Welcome to the forum.

I’ve printed a lot with both Bambu’s ABS and ABS-GF.

I’ve only ever seen cracking like you have shown when a part fails due to loading. Normally adding to the wall count helps with this.

How many wall count did you print your part with?
