Hello,
I have observed a strange behavior with the Bambu Slicer software. When I open a job, slice it and send it to the printer, the first print goes through without a problem. If I don’t close Bambu Lab Slice and open another existing project that always printed fine before, then slice it and send it to the printer, the print gets ugly after a few layers.
I stop the print. I close the BambuLab software, then click on the same file, the software starts, opens the project, I hit sliecing (without changing any settings), send it to the printer and the print runs perfectly.
That sounds annoying. The only thing that comes to mind, and that annoys me, is when changing projects Bambu Studio always tries to transfer settings from the current project to the project being opened.
I’m in the middle of a 24+hr print so I can’t test… but I have done back to back prints and I don’t recall having experienced this before
I notice that the default behavior for opening .3mf files via bambu studio or even orca-slicer is to spawn a new process / window, not re-use the existing one.
Perhaps try opening the .3mf in your file browser, which should launch a new process, and close the existing one prior to slicing the new one.
Another thing to consider is to print from the printer UI by going to your cache/recent prints and selecting it. That way you don’t need to reslice and send the job again, perhaps eliminating something that could be going wrong in the slicing process.
