Hello, I recently unpacked my P1S printer, and wanting to make my first print using AMS, I packed 4 rolls of PLA from Sunlu, at the beginning I started the print from the Benchy SD card and here immediately the problem because AMS fed the filament to the Extruder and then retracted it back and so on 3 times, I had the impression that the extruder did not have the strength to take the filament, I checked on other colors and sections in AMS and the same, I still have a message about a clogged nozzle, so I disassembled the extruder and nothing clean, I tried to print without AMS and it worked perfectly, I even cut off a piece of filament and pushed it directly into the extruder and it also melted the filament without a problem, I updated the software, turned the magnet in the buffer in every direction and it did nothing, I have a new printer and one print was made halfway using AMS, does anyone have any advice??

I have just managed to print Benchy from a file on the memory card, I installed the original green filament from Bambu that was included with the printer, I started the print and look, it works, it prints and after the print was finished, I wanted to check the other filaments, but from Sunlu and unfortunately the same situation, the filament reaches the extruder and is retracted to AMS and so on 3 times, so I say I will check the one from Bambu again and as in the case of Sunlu 3 times loading and unloading and error 0700-8007 183015, and I was already hoping that it had been fixed
thanks for the information, I’ll check it on my end but it doesn’t solve the printing problem, I was surprised that the print came out with the bambulab filament and with sunlu it didn’t want to load it and then again AMS didn’t want to load the bambu filament, I even tried to give the filament name bambulab Pla Basic instead of Sunlu pla+ but it didn’t help ;(
I disassembled and checked everything I could, I put the PLA supplied with the printer into the first AMS slot and started the Benchy print from the memory card and to my surprise it worked, the first print from AMS came out intact so I went ahead and wanted to try the Sunlu PLA filament from the second slot, the same Benchy print from the Memory card and unfortunately the filament only reached the extruder and went back 3 times, so I tried again with the filament supplied with the printer from the first slot and here it failed, the filament again reached the extruder and went back 3 times and I don’t know what to do anymore
I have the same issue. But the filament does not quite reach the extruder. It stops halfway in the PFTE tube going between the block on the back of the P1S and the connector to inside the printer. I disassembled the AMS to see if something is clogged but everything was ok. Tried different filaments but all with same result. Printing with external spool works as it should.
I have exactly the same issue and I only insert Bambulab PLA Mate in my AMS, so it’s not only an issue with other finlament brands.
My issue is not happening all the time but when it happens is quite annoying because the print is halted in every filament change.
I checked the Bambulab problem solving and after disabling everything I was not able to find any problem in the components, everything is clean and seems to be Ok, but the problem persists (the filament is pushed until it hits the struder and then it’s sent back to the AMS and after 3 tries you get the error in the software)
Did you have any answers from Bambulab or did you solve it somehow?
Hi, yes, I managed to solve it. I did it according to their guide, recorded videos and took pictures of the problem, and then I got a reply with suggestions. I did everything, recorded videos and sent them to them. Of course, nothing helped. So they sent me parts for the filament hub at the back of the printer, I replaced it, but still nothing helped. Of course, I recorded videos and sent them to them. They told me to measure the voltages on the AMS board, mainly, according to the guide on their wiki page. I took all the measurements, took pictures, recorded a video to be sure, and after analyzing, they sent additional cables to connect the AMS, the motherboard, and the motor. I replaced everything, and it worked In my opinion, the motor and its control system were to blame
I just bought a brand new P1S with AMS. I have a spool of elegoo PLA I wanted to use. The AMS seemed to take the filament, but it only pulls it in so far, it never makes it to the back PTFE tubing. I can’t get it to pull in any filament at all. Should I see anything on the display under AMS all I see is “RESET ID” option and nothing else.
If youre still having this problem, disconnect the PTFE from the toolhead, trim cut it flatly, and remount very securely. If filament wont pass the pneumatic fitting its because its being caught on the edges, which should not happen to a flatly cut PTFE tube of the correct diameter pushed all the way to the bottom
