I am thinking of buying a new Bambulab printer and I’ve heard that Bambu is coming up with new printers in a while I was wondering if it’s better to wait for the new printers to come out or buy one of the current ones.
Right now that’s a really hard call to make because there’s one variable that we don’t have: price. Hypothetically if it’s close in price to the X1C I would go for the new one. If it’s closer in price to the X1E then maybe one of the current ones. It also depends on your budget. We should have more information soon.

Another factor to consider with this ongoing authentication/security firmware debacle is what the software capabilities of the new model/series will be. Given it looks like it will be the first new line since this was announced, it will allow Bambu to define its out of the box capabilities differently to other models.

I’d hold off from buying until they fess up that they made a mistake in messing with their own customers. But after closely watching how Sonos was crumbling and now dying, this feels like time travelling.
