Bambulab TPU for AMS problem in AMS

I load the TPU material, it recognizes it as TPU AMS, then it says unknown filament. If I select it manually, the error message shown in the picture appears. The other picture shows the current FW.

Usually, this problem occurs if the filament configuration profile is not installed in Bambu Studio

Please make sure you are running the latest version of Bambu Studio, and install the configuration update when the prompt shows up.

You can also enable the filament profile from the System Filaments tab.

Thanks a lot. I tried, it works well.

Still doesnā€™t work for me, what else is there. Please update the software and fix this.

Welcome to the forum.

Have you installed the configuration update? There should be a prompt in the lower right hand corner of Bambu Studio

Is this fixed now for everyone having trouble?

I was about to hit the store button on ā€œTPU for AMSā€, which is rather friggin expensive :grimacing: butā€¦

It wasnā€™t a problem to start, just a configuration that hadnā€™t been set into the slicer.

It is a great material, I enjoy using it.

It is harder than the common 95A most assume is TPU, because they do not know TPU materials are actually points on a scale (shore hardness).

Its price and flexibility are equally between PLA and TPU 95A.

If your experience is 95A, this is harder and best considered a different material. It has new use cases.

The ability to print it in single and multiple colours at every layer is as easy as PLA.

It is far cheaper than TPU 95A HF from BL, although, BL is selling that at a massive mark-up.

Cool - the bump of this topic by stevegrimeszz made me think there was still some software issue. But since itā€™s working for you Iā€™ll give it a shot.

I continue to have this problem. No update offered and I have tried multiple reboots and manually reupdated the firmware the latest versions. TPU for AMS does not appear in the list of system filaments. The only difference from other posters I can think of is that Iā€™m running BambuStudio on a MacBook.

Same issue here. It seems I can manually override the slow and filament setting to make things ā€˜workā€™. But it will not show up when i sync the filaments from the AMS even if the AMS at first properly detects the TPU for AMS roll.

Very frustrating. I donā€™t see any configuration update to load in Bambu Studio, and there appears to be no firmware updates available.

Did you both see this yet? I donā€™t know if Studio will auto-update to the latest version for you (it didnā€™t for me but thatā€™s due to my own choices maybe).

Or, you could try OrcaSlicerā€¦ then again if you updated firmwareā€¦ not sure if thatā€™ll work anymore. (Ugh, this recent firmware controversy is messing everything upā€¦)

I know it doesnā€™t help you, but it turned out that the filament works just fine in my own case. Itā€™s a pretty cool material option, I hope you get it working correctly.
