Hi everyone,
I’m interested in Bambulab X1 Carbon AMS. Before to preorder it, I want to know if the price will decrease in the next months or not. I saw a lot of good review about this printer and I want to get one.
Can someone give me some information about it?
Thanks a lot
While nobody can say that with absolute certainty except BL employees, given that the product is recent and already a great value, I personally wouldn’t count on a price drop anytime soon.
I thought the same thing, but I wasn’t 100% sure about it. Did you buy the printer?
Yeah - I don’t have any regrets, but I do think it’s important to understand the risks:
- Based on what I’ve been reading over the past few days, it does sound like there might be some valid QC and support queue length concerns. That said, I’ve been fortunate enough to have zero problems so I can’t sing this thing’s praises enough.
- Closed-source hardware design - ethics aside, despite the fact that we all hope it doesn’t happen, it is completely possible BL disappears without a trace… I do not see that happening, but at the moment nobody else has a distribution deal with them.
Honestly? Outside of those two things, you couldn’t ask for a better printer at this price point IMO.
As the waiting time for the X1 and X1C without the AMS is said to be untill the End of March in the EU Store, I would not expect any discount in this timespan. Why sell it at discount if you allready have preorders.
Also the fact, that there are no thirdparty resellers, means there will propably no discounts any time soon. As long as the sales go well, which seems to be the case at the moment looking at the numbers of new members ever day in the fb group etc.
I ordered one last week, so I guess I put my money where my mouth is

If anything, I would expect a price increase before any decrease.
Generally speaking, higher demand results in a higher price. The market is based on what people are willing to pay, and clearly people are happy dishing out the current prices. I’d wager to say that people would pay even more, but the most efficient strategy is a price point that keeps a slight backlog of customers to allow some wiggle room while they optimize the process. In my humble opinion, I’d expect higher prices moving forward.
