New user having printed everything so far from MakerWorkd via the Bambu Handy iOS app but looking to expand my horizons by using Bambu Studio and try importing models from alternative places such as Thingiverse etc.
Although I have read the BS Wiki and watched many videos how do you magnify the view/zoom in of the model on the build plate?
I want to add some text to a small model one the build plate but its literally too small to get the positioning correct without zooming in first. I have seen videos where the build plate view is zoomed in but I don’t see how to do it.
The only thing I can think of is maybe it utilises the scroll wheel on a mouse but as I use a trackpad on both my PC laptop & MacBook it’s not something I can try although there’s bound to be an alternative way of doing it!
That’s another good reason to use Orca Slicer instead of Bambu Studio: It has the shortcut keys i and o for zooming in and out…
If you don’t want to switch to a (slightly) different slicer, you can try if your notebooks trackpad supports multi-touch gestures (I think at least the Macbook will). If that’s the case you can use pinch-to-zoom:
Thanks for the replies guys…as embarrassing as it was for me to hear the answer!
This guy who has been using the iPhone since 2007, iPad since 2010 and trackpads on Macs since 2011 missed the multitouch gesture that also works on my PC laptop for zooming in and out of things!
That was it of course but it wasn’t the first time I’ve been known to overthink things and it sure as hell won’t be the last either!
