Overall, been about as good as can be hoped for. This guy is at just over 7k hours, and the only thing I’ve really had an issue with was force sensors on the bed got replaced at about 5000 hours.
Anyway, what I’m getting here is I came back to a failed print where the cover had been knocked off the head. Cleared it out, tried to print again, and failed the Z-axis part of homing.
Then I noticed that the right side of the bed was about half an inch lower than the rest. So, I followed the procedure to fix it, and then I home, and I get this (watch the right side- action is at about 21 seconds): https://photos.app.goo.gl/GquKYkb5UsxCcyAVA
For those who don’t want to watch the video, what we get is that during the homing the bed goes all the way to the top during the process, we hear a ‘clunk’ and the right side instantly slips down…I don’t know, call it half an inch.
I can’t even really think of HOW something can slip down a threaded rod like that, much less what my cause could be here. Or why it only happens at the top.
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to what I should be doing to fix this? Yes, I’ve put in a case, but we know how long the turnaround time can be, and we’re probably not fixing it in the first round trip.
You might want to check that brass nut and make sure it isnt worn out.
Making sure I’m looking at the correct thing here. You’re talking about this guy?
Yes how’s it look threads ok?
I got it loose and washed all the grease out. Near as I can tell, it’s fine?
However, I got most of the grease off the threaded rod and experimented with the nut. It spins up and down the rod well enough. BUT, I find that if I try to force it up and down on most spots on the rod it just kind of…shifts a tiny bit. But if I do it near the top of the rod, it will actually slide down a bit.
So, I’m suspecting I’ve actually got something wrong with the rod, even if I certainly can’t detect anything by touch or by eye.
Now the question becomes how to get hold of those parts since I don’t see them listed on the site.
Thanks for your help. I was reluctant to take apart that area, because I’ve never done it before, but it wasn’t too bad, apart from my fingers now having changed color.

Bambu has a wilki and if you read it it will tell you how to get replacements.
Yeah, I see that. I’m just a ways into this with no response at all. I was hoping there were alternative sources.
Hi! Did you get this solved? I have a similar problem. Thanks
I had to order the replacement rods from BL. On the positive side they do come with all the accessories that are part of the set, so that’s nice.
