Bed Temperature

[quote=“JLW, post:8, topic:36991”] A1 printer.
Because print first layers not sticking I tried increasing the bed temperature… I used an optical thermometer to see what the actual bed temperature was and when the printer said 65 degrees the measured temperature was 54 degrees…!! So highly underreported by at least 10 degrees…!! I hope someone from Bambu reads this…!! Anyway I re set manually to 75 which is a measured temperate by me of the bed at an actual 65 degrees. Way different BUT the print now sticks to the bed ok. But this temperature error should not be like this and I don’t know if this is a fault with my particular printer or is a general Bambu issue?

Same issue here with the new H2D: PLA won’t stick to the build plate at all.

Initially, the bed temperature was set to 50–55 °C (cant really remenber :slight_smile: ). I raised it to 60 °C—the setting that’s always worked on my Prusa—but parts still came loose mid-print. When I checked with an IR thermometer, the actual bed temperature was only about 50 °C.

I’ve now set the bed to 70 °C, which gives a measured surface temperature of roughly 62 °C. I’m printing my first PETG part now, and adhesion is finally adequate.
