Hi! I got my printer a few days ago and I’m entirely new to this. How do I size prints to fit on the mini? And slicing? I honestly don’t understand much but I just want to print some D&D buildings (eventually, bambu labs got my filament order wrong and I’m not sure how to go about it)
filters in makerworld for printer specific models already presliced
I just watched a few videos on youtube, there’s a lot of good content on there breaking down anything you might be curious about.
Luckily Bambu Studio handles most settings pretty well in my experience and the fine tuning for better detail or easier to remove supports has been a relatively painless process of trial and error with very few totally failed prints.
A1 the best Printer in the world
I’ve also just gotten my printer and there are so many videos on Youtube that even looking at that is overwhelming. Did you find a specific channel to follow for beginner tips?
There are loads of channels…
Best advice - Get some Bambu PLA and start printing, firstly from the models on the SD card, then from maker world - your mistakes will teach you more than you can. imagine. When you hit problems, look for more information. Come to the forum and ask. Enjoy your new printer, it is going to be a great journey.
I learned the most the last couple days after my first clog. There’s nothing more rewarding than fixing your own printer.
Other than that keep printing
I didn’t personally, I just found a few beginner models on bambu handy and hit print. It’s all I’ve been doing since
Here are some really cool 3D printing channels:
I know some of them have videos specific to just getting started.
Also just for an A1 Mini (Xmas gift from my wife). I’m totally new and am learning everything from scratch. One thing I’ve found handy is ChatGPT but I’m really looking for a book I can read that covers all the jargon and basics. YouTube videos aren’t my favorite because I can read faster than people talk. Any book suggestions?
You can increase the playback speed on YT…
just ask a person who 3d prints if you want you can also read and watch good youtube videos and reddit threads (how i started)
Not a book, but the Bambu wiki and forums should be pretty helpful.
