Benchmark data for conversion rates, feature request

Now that we have 3 conversion rates, view rate, download rate, and print rate, the next piece of helpful info is the benchmark so designers can tell how their rates compared to others, and which rate to focus the efforts on improving.

The benchmark can be as simple as the average conversion rates of the model subcategory, or more data points such as percentile. The average rate can be presented as a line showing the average on the current conversion rate chart, or several lines showing the 25th, 50th, 75th and 100th percentiles. Alternatively, the percentile can be shown in parentheses next to the conversion rate, such as view rate (percentile) showing as 5% (91th).

For an example of how having a benchmark is helpful, let’s say a desinger’s model in the Pets subcategory under Household has a view rate that’s below the average view rate of all models in the Pets subcategory, while the download rate and print rate are about average. Working to improve the view rate will likely to be the more effective use of time and energy.
