Hey guys so im having fun and games with matte play , im doing a bunch of lego storm troopers for friends and want to try and get costs down but im having very little luck with other brands of matte pla , bambu is on point but sunlu jams the ams , kingroo just doesnt print nicely at all think i used half the role trying to calibrate it, im about to try jayo next but can anyone else recommend a brand of matte pla that pritns well at a reasonable price.
I use Elegoo since months … and “Deeplee” is the exact same with another brand name.
I print everything without a specific color with this stuff. Today my Amazon-Order arrived, 4x White PLA Matte for EUR 38,- and 4x Black PLA Matte for the same price. Cardboard spools, but you can put them on the Bambu-Spools
EUR 9,50 per kg for a really nice Matte PLA is imho unbeatable
I have both - and the spools (and filament) is identical. Just the Name Elegoo is different Rest of the design is also identical. I swear that is exactly the same stuff
9,50 per Role is - for me here in the EU - still the better deal. I do have 100 Bambulab Roles, special colors, specials types, …
But my Standard for EVERYTHING is the cheapo Deeplee/Elegoo, and im very satisfied with the quality of this stuff. Especially for the amount of roles I use.
All my Gridfinity and such stuff is printed with that PLA Matte.
Do you get any colour variation with duplee and elgoo , i tried out kingroon and there regular pla (not matte)was great , printed on bambu settings no tweeking needed but i started to run out so i ordered another roll same supplier , but when it arrived it was visably a dofferent tone and when printed it was a little lighter.
It is, what it is … 11,99 is still more than 9,50. And Deeplee is always somewhere available for that price, minimum of 4 Rolls vs. 10 Rolls is also a point
But yes, it’s great that Bambulab is somehow comparable too
8EUR for a spool in Canada sounds rough. Funny enough, earlier this year Germany’s former foreign minister Sigmar Gabriel even said Canada should be invited into the EU: “They are more European than some European member states anyway.” (The Guardian) With filament prices like that, maybe Canada really should join us
I like to use PolyTerra which is now called Panchroma. It seems to be about the same as Bambu matte PLA, except with twice as many colors. I usually wait for the sales and stock up.
