First topic :slight_smile: for newbie

  • Detailed description of the problem

P1S / 0.4 hotend / Sunlu PLA+ 2.0 / Textured PEI / Aux fan 20% all others off

  1. Great print apart from horizontal holes/gaps which seem to align to where they join in solidworks (2 parts joined in an assembly and exported to step file). Holes are running through to the other side of the wall although not as bad on the internal face of the print.

  2. Trailling lines after vertical holes/filets even with small area flow compensation switched on in orca slicer. Tried a zillion settings to get rid of these inc running at 50% speed.

  3. One corner looks like cooling issue, all others fine? Ahh

First pic:

The 2 holes might benefit from a pressure advance recalibration, but it is close. It looks like it is thinning out as it accelerates away from the hole’s curve, which is PA’s domain

The blowout is unfortunate, not sure the cause, but the little defect below it is likely “downstream” crumbles from the big blowout failure and maybe not worth worrying about seperately.

Second pic: Hard to tell the print orientation, but is that a “tower” pointing up? Check your Layer Time preview - if that area is significantly faster than every other layer, you may want to increase minimum layer times to help the plastic cool. “Benchy Smokestack” sort of thing.
