Bill of Materials links enhancement

I understand you’re pushing people to link Bambu Lab’s materials used within a project to have a return in terms of sales and that’s fine.

But at least if you ask me to select the proper object with model/size and quantity, please make it so that when the user clicks the link the page where he’s been take does select the same model/size and already sets the quantity as specified.

e. g.
Here’s a BoM with 3x B-CA001 (D4x2mm) magnets

If I click the link I’m taken to the correct page, but the wrong size is selected

also the quantity should already be set to 3

The fun fact is, if I click the Buy Now button in the above image, you’re adding to the chart the correct size and quantity.

Again, just a little enhancement but gives the average user less possibilities to do something wrong.

@MakerWorld I also think the quantity isn’t very clear, especially since many products come with multiple pieces. For example, if a model requires 3 magnets, but the magnet product comes in a pack of 10, you only need to order 1 pack (and will have 7 extras).

It would be better to specify the exact number of pieces a model requires, and then have the app automatically calculate the necessary cart quantity.

Yes, this is something that could be easily clarified with something like this

(dirt & rapid concept created by me)

For the creator of the Bill of Materials its their interest in checking to set the proper quantity because if I print a model and I order the wrong quantity because of the author mistake I would be really upset and give him a bad feedback.

Same problem with wrong URL linking for filaments and matte PLA leads to a 404 error, so totally wrong link

Not all magnets are even included in the tool. I have to many add some sizes using their part number as the items do not appear in the lookup tables.
