Do I really need a dry box to use BIQU PLA-HR? Can I just put it in the AMS
I think you’re about to boldly go where none of us have ever gone before. Hopefully if anyone else here has printed a basketball they’ll speak up. I don’t think the question is if you need to print from a dry box or the AMS, I think the question is do you need to actively dry it before you print. The info and reviews on that are pretty scarce. I only saw one review that said they dried the heck out of it. Two tips I saw repeated are to use the BIQU .3mf file and to use glue to prevent warping.
Thank you for or trying to help
Did you have luck with this print? I’m gearing up for it!
I can add in that I tried the BIQU PLA-HR in the AMS on the X1C today so I could print the support interface with Support for PLA/PETG and it jammed on the first retraction. I am either going to go with a single filament for support/interface/print body and use the “TPU-style” top load option or print it on the H2D with the support filament loaded into the second nozzle. Likely the H2D is the right tool for this particular print.
