Hi all, I have a question, and maybe you already have an answer ![ ](https://forum.bambulab.com/images/emoji/twitter/slight_smile.png?v=12)
I bought the BIQU double sided buildplate with Textured PEI on one side, and Smooth PEO at the other side.
No matter what I do, I don’t get the results I am used to with my Bambu Original buildplates. Seen with only the eye, the results look okay-ish… On Photography you can really see that the result is pretty bad.
I did do the full calibration with the new plate. I tried changing settings for the first layer, but I just don’t get a good result, not better than what I show.
Does anyone know what parameters to tweak to get a better result?

Agreed!
Any plates with a significant texture require you to use “Textured PEI.” This is because the BBL Textured PEI settings cause the Z offset to be lowered by .04mm so that the first layer is squished into the nooks and crannies.

How do i Post something in the Forum?
Please help! I just can’t figure it out.
For the textured side of the plate, the setting that i also use on the bambu textured plates was used, but there is a big difference between the two textured plates. On bambu plates there are no gaps, on biqu plates, there is a big gap when using the same settings
For the smooth side i am not sure if i changed the plate setting. I think it was printed on the textured plate settting.
There is a tutorial you can follow, that also levels you up quite a bit.
Where can i find this tutorial?

It’s fairly simple to advance to “Basic” user and takes about 10 minutes of reading.
- Viewing at least 5 topics
- Reading at least 30 posts
- Spend a total of 10 minutes reading posts
The restriction for brand new users should be understandable as it greatly cuts down on spam bots which no one likes.
Cheers and welcome to the forum.
