Hello.
I am trying to have my print change colors at a specific layer. I have Bambu Studio set up with two different colors, a Blue and a Black. I have the model colored how I want it to be. but on first print, It only printed black, on second attempt it stopped the black at the right spot, but did not start printing the blue, but did keep “working”. I got tired of wasting so much filament on this, so I switched to testing on benchies. and all same deal, all black, or all blue.
Both colors are loaded, black in slot 1, and blue in slot 2. the ams is plugged in.
I am using the color painting tool with the color layer. then I’m using the fill tool to change the color of the top of the model from black to blue. I also have both colors set in Bambu Studio in the same order from the ams. but Its my understanding from Bambu Labs own guides that the printer and ams should automatically select the best options for each color. given its a bright blue and a black I don’t see how it could mess that up, unless it doesn’t actually work that way.
From what I’m reading from other posts, the ams lite color changing is a feature locked out when using the sd card. and I need to connect to the internet ans sync my printer to Bambu Studio? and if that is so, where can I actually find the Pin code? My A1 does not show a pin code under the account tab, LAN tab, or WiFi tab. Under the account tab it only prompts to install an app. Is this also locked behind some mobile app?
I’m honestly been super disappointed with this printer. It arrived with a heat bed that wasn’t working, had to replace that. and now basic functions of it seem to be locked behind an app. I just want to use the SD card. so If there’s anything I can do to make this work.
I’ve attached photos of what the models look like in Bambu Labs, along with what the filament settings are.
