BL Service needs info before sending replacement board

Bambu Lab Service has determined I have a bad TH Board on my P1S. They have agreed to replace it but need some info for me to provide (see attached). It’s pretty standard and it would seem they already have all this already but, okay. But the 2nd to the last item, ORDER NUMBER, has me confused. What ORDER NUMBER? I don’t think it is my service request number, and I purchased the P1S from a local store so no order number for Bambu Lab sales.

So, any ideas what ORDER NUMBER they might be referring to?

Order number is what you think, the order number from the Bambu store order. Since you don’t have one, use the receipt you received when you purchased the printer from your local store (picture or screenshot), this is likely needed to validate the warranty period from the purchase date.

Only a month into the Bambu ‘universe’ and I’m convinced that they send their customer “service” team to the California DMV for training. They ask for ridiculous information and take days, if not weeks, to respond to ticket items. Further proof that communism can never coexist with capitalism.

I don’t know if their service is the “communism” way of doing business but it does seem like AI is taking over.

Before I retired I worked in automotive engineering. There was a team of employees who were troubling shooting the difficulties of replacing a car’s front headlamp. It seams other neighboring metal components made this difficult to do without cutting their hand or arm.

So, they tried a virtual reality approach. They designed a human arm with the companies CAD design system, built the headlamp area of the car using all vehicle CAD data and then tried to place the designed arm into a tight area where a car’s headlamp needed replacing with this computer virtual reality approach. This was a major failure and a waste of time that resolved nothing! Their manager threaten to fire them all saying all they needed was to have the available model makers make a actual mock-up of the area in question, then use their REAL arms to install the REAL headlamp and then decide changes to correct the issue. Short and easy and their new component changes could be easily added to the mock-up to verify success.

Anyway, I’m glad they are sending a replacement TH Board!

They do have it.
I also got a replacement shipping for defective parts and I was asked the same questions.
My original shipment (including a printer) were shipped to my employer because nobody is at my home during the day and the printer wouldn’t fit in the mailbox.

So when they sent me the same “form” I put in my home address to ship to the tiny replacement parts and guess what, they shipped it to my employer.

For whatever reason, I had to fill in the details but obviously they didn’t read or use these details.
