Black screen issues on X1C. Any ideas?

Did some searching and couldn’t find anything similar.

The screen on my X1C stopped working recently. The printer still works fine and I can print through the desktop app or Handy.

The backlight on the screen comes on and the lights on the AP board work correctly.

The printer is still within warranty and so far Bambulab has sent me a new screen, a new ribbon, and a new AP board. I’ve gotten the same results each time. The backlight on the screen is on but nothing is displayed. I did discover that if I press on the bottom PCBA connector the screen (either the new or old) will start working as long as I continue pressure. This only works with the original AP board.

I have explained this to tech support and their most recent response is to send me another screen which seems to be redundant as they have already sent me one. I would think a new PCBA cable might be a solution.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

This happened to me a year ago - while the LEDs on the AP board indicated correct function, after support had me replace both the display and the display cable, they sent me a new AP board and it has been fine ever since.

Thanks for the reply. What’s odd is that they sent me a new AP board and I had the same results with no display.

I suppose the cable is the next thing to try. Its connector on the back of the AP board is tricky to undo.

I’ve replaced both the display cable (ribbon) and the display with the same results.

What could be causing the black screen issues on the X1C, and what troubleshooting steps can help determine if it’s related to software, hardware, or display connection problems?
