I have an A1 and an A1 with AMS Lite. It’s the A1 that isn’t printing well.
The orange mounds are bad. The blue mounds are from the A1 with AMS. These use the same files with identical settings. This used to print correctly on both.
I’ve calibrated Flow Rate and Dynamic Flow. I’ve changed the hotend… twice. I’ve used the same filament on both printers. I’ve used new filament. This print was after drying the filament.
What am I missing?!? How can I get smooth prints again?
Hmmm, the last time I upgraded firmware, it stopped printing so I’m concerned about it automatically upgrading. I’ll try this if nothing else works. Thanks!
Having similar print quality issues. Printer has worked flawlessly since opening. We just replace PLA filament ( same brand, color …) dry as well . Now we are getting stringing and blobs. Have updated firmware, recalibrated, reinstalled filament , nozzle is clear of any containments, bed has been washed & cleaned and using default setting as before. Is there something obvious I’m missing like changing out nozzle or adjusting height nozzle to plate?
With issues like you show appearing on a non-ams print and the good examples from ams filament, it looks to me like “wet” filament but probably many others will tell you you need to adjust or replace something.
And maybe they are right.
But it looks like water to me and the good/bad of ams vs non-ams sure sounds like it’s open storage of filament and it picked up enough water over time to mess up your prints.
Many threads here on wet vs dry filament. I think that may be your issue. But maybe it’s a nozzle or extruder, or your belts are loose, or stuff like that.
Here’s what I see wet vs dry. Your mileage may vary.
