Boolean Difference using Text only used the first letter of the text

I am embedding text into a surface, and then using Boolean Difference using the text to cut with, and have it deleted.

What happens is only the first letter of the text gets cut out.

Note: If I use Intersection, the full text remains after I use the delete option, but if I try to delete the remaining object afterwards, only the first letter remains.

You can also select the text object and then change its type from object to modifier or negative part following a right click on it.

That may be easier.
