Boost # wrong?

Well i know that i have more than 10+ boosts on several of my models. however when you go to the specific model, it says 4 to 6 boosts.

what does that mean? do you only see the # of boosts for that given month and not total?

this is on of them - 3D N64 Logo by neocrisis - MakerWorld

The 10+ boosts are likely split between the global and China-specific site, as each model has a separate counter.

I still do not understand how boosts work.
on one page, i says 3 to 5 boosts were given to one of my designs.
however when i go to the points page, i only see 12 or 15 points
should it not be points given (12 or 15) X # of times its been given?

if how i think it works is not correct, then what is the point of giving multiple boosts to someone?

Got to: https://makerworld.com/en/my/data-overview/model

There you will find precise information that is more up-to-date. Unfortunately, notifications are not always completely reliable.

Yeah the issue is the wording on that page, where it says “totally received x boost tokens” it actually should read “has been boosted x times in total”

If the user had boosted you multiple times you would see multiple entries like this

OH!!!
that makes sense.

before, one design was - Totally received 3 boost tokens.
and today i got 1 more boost
which results in - Totally received 4 boost tokens.

I was not actually reading it but just looking at the # next to the boost. If i saw 4 or 5 or whatever #, i thought that was how many times it got a boost that specific time.

it makes sense

thanks

It happens, but yeah they really should update the wording on that thing because even if you actually read it it can be confusing to people

Any chance we can get some of these things cleaned up @BambuLab ?

I would change it to something like.

  • Congrats, user XXXX gave you X many boosts. Your design now has X total boosts.

I think one person can only boost a design 2 times, so looking back, it makes sense that a single person cant boost a design 5 times. But again, i did not read it, just saw the #
