Brand new P1S making a squeaking noise

Hi! I’ve been running a P1S for a couple weeks now and (I think) the extruder is making a weird squeaking noise. This printer is new, and has only printed PLA. I’m honestly not sure if the noise is coming from the extruder, but it seems to be. Could it be lack of lube? Even with only 2 weeks of use? Thanks!

Edit: the noise seems to come from this stepper https://youtube.com/shorts/LuKBW-KTUQo?si=Wq65FqbsHkLWRugN

Sounds like your linear rods, the steel and carbon ones are dry.
Clean the carbon ones as per wiki, same for the steel ones, than add a bit of lube to the steel ones and check again.

Even on new machines? It’s not like I’ve been running it 24/7. Bad quality control, I guess. Thanks!

Has nothing to do with new or well used I am afraid.
If those steel rods won’t feel dry all good, if the carbon rods are clean all good as well.
But it is the easiest explanation and easiest fix

Let’s say all is good here and it still squeaks…
Take a look at the back and move the head around, preferably while the printer is turned off.
See those two pulleys with the belts running through them ?
If the belt stays stuck at one side it rubs, which can create squeaky noises.
The is tutorials for the proper adjustment of the belt tension and pulley alignment.
I short you loosen those two screws, move the head around and push the top or bottom bit of the pulley until the belt run free between both ends without rubbing.
Tighten the screws, check again the belt moves nicely and repeat for the other belt.
If you found issues here and adjusted the belts please run the full machine calibration again!
Takes a while, is annoying with the noises but the only way to make sure the printer calibrates for the changes made.
