when my printer prints - it is awesome. the quality and speed are outstanding. but this is nowhere near printing out of the box capable. The PLA-CF kept clogging my nozzle, which in turn jammed the extruder. I’ve had AMS issues with clogged nozzles on multi-color PLA prints, where the AMS doesn’t want to extract with normal PLA because it failed to extract mid print on a multicolor print. That was a nightmare because then it was also already fed and stuck in the AMS and wouldn’t just “unload” through the menu.
I’ve had the nozzle/extruder apart 8 times so far… and while it isn’t a horrible process, it’s 20 minutes each time. My small allen wrench is so mangled from pulling stuck filament it that it will no longer remove the allen screws. lol.
I’ve been printing with this new Printer for 2 days and its been hit/miss. I hope you’re right that it is all software related, because this is way too hands on right now.
I have a feeling moving to a .06 nozzle would help for CF prints, but they advertise it as being .04 compatible, so it should be…
Damn, thats crazy. Hope they the fix whatever is going on.
I got that error after upgrading the firmware, then I ran the calibration (in the ‘utilities’ tab on the printer’s screen) after which it’s printing perfectly. As far as I can tell the firmware update wiped the calibration and recalibrating fixed it, which kinda makes sense - if they changed the calibration routine, they’d want to force recalibration so the calibration and firmware are consistent.

there are other options to select from if you insist on open source firmware.
good info, thanks! this will surely help many people who have this issue. I just recalibrated all of them.
fwiw, I insist on working firmware.
maybe you should slice your own benchy instead of printing the one on the card. I heard people say the pre sliced benchy doesnt work with the latest firmware

They also said you should use 0.6 nozzle in their filament guide.
I had the same error. In my case it was a bug in the new firmware 01.06.01.00. After downgrading the firmware on the printer to 01.05.02.00 using the Bambu Handy app it seems to have resolved the Y axis Resonance Frequency Error. I recommend also downgrading until Bambu Lab releases a patch for that.
they 100% list it as compatible with a .04 nozzle. if they want a .06, they should not list .04 as compatible and ship it from the factory like that. it is running a lot better at 240 instead of the factory 230.
have a same issue.Unpacked my new machine and got the same error. And i’t not going out.And the print is a ■■■■…did everything according to Wiki…nothing helps…
try downgrading the firmware to 01.05.02.00 using the bambu handy app. It fixed it for me.
Downgraded…going trough new calibration now
let’s see…
Update: Downgraded,no error anymore and ven the 3DBenchy is going well…the first layer suck, but that can be fixed…thanks a lot for your help
I forgot to ask…do you need to downgrade te bambu studio as well? I downgrade it,but is it needed?
No down grade is needed if you would calibrate and then slice your files. Do not use any sliced files before the upgrade!
You mean pre sliced files from the internal storage?machine ws calibrated after downgrade and everything works fine. But I downgraded the Bambu studio as well, but didn’t print from there yet. So,I can upgrdae the studio back and no problem? And of course slice everything in new version before i sent it out?..
That is what I did and everything is working correctly.
Thanks a lot…it’s crazy, that printer that cost 1650 EUR here nees to be treated like a baby to work…
I hate to say it, but some of the Bambu filament is just ■■■■. I had a roll that would blob, string, you name it. It would do everything but print. Put in a roll of eSun filament,no other changes, and it was one of the best looking prints ever.
