Hello, I’m pretty new to filament printers and was seeking some assistance. I’m currently having issues with bridging. My most recent, and best attempt used BF 1.7 and BS 10. Results are, in my opinion, sub par.
I am trying to fix this issue because most models that I am printing, that require supports, look like that photo, or worse, right where the supports go. I noticed supports are hollow by default and assumed bridging was the issue. Any advice would be appreciated. If anyone would like another example, I still have the model. Currently using the Bambu X2D with PLA filament, a .4mm nozzle, my default for layers is the minimum for a .4 nozzle at .08, all ran at 50% speed/Silent mode
To expand on @Blaster comment: You’ll probably want to load some (well dried) PETG into the Aux-nozzle, activate Supports in Studio and assign the PETG to the support interface. Click Yes when Studio asks about adjusting Support settings.
For this part, “normal” supports may be better than tree supports.
That’ll give a nice, flush finish at the cost of increased print time.
There are also some more specific recommendations in the wiki, but I can usually just hit print with my X1 and H2.
