Good evening, for some time now my xc1 carbon has been giving me problems printing large flat surfaces but especially walls that are very inclined towards the inside. As you can see from the attached photos there are these bumps under the surface layers that ruin the whole print for me, it only makes them on those walls with a high angle. The filament is correctly (PLA Bambu) dried and I print very very slowly, finally as a filler I use the gyroid at 5% and the rest of the settings are standard.
Adhesion to the platter is excellent although, to avoid too much warping, I keep the side fan disabled.
Thank you
Looks like an overhang cooling issue. Are the imperfections only on the underside of the part?
Yes, the bottom part is about the same as the top, widespread bubbles. For cooling I left the standard settings if not disabling the side auxiliary fan to avoid too much warping
You’re on the right track by drying your filament and using slower print speeds. Try running the side fan at 100% and orienting the part so the overhangs face the fan for better cooling.
Also, PLA has great bed adhesion; but if you’re worried about warping, try leaving the printer door open for better airflow and temp distribution. The auxiliary fan shouldn’t cause warping issues.
