This task for points is never checked off and doesn’t show how many points you have received or anything like that.
In my opinion this would be a good way of doing it.
Does this reset or something, or is it just not showing a completion bar?
Some things are by design. Some things are by bad design.
I believe that is an example of the latter.
To my knowledge, it is a one-time deal. It has always been presented in the way your image shows it, it has never reset for me and only ever worked as described. Once you have uploaded ten profiles, you will never benefit from this reward again.

In my opinion I shouldn’t have to test whether or not it still counts. Maybe that’s just me. I’m uploading profiles anyway, so I guess it doesn’t matter too much 
It didn’t stop me from uploading a few hundred profiles. I do remember being annoyed when I wasn’t rewarded for it given I expended my filament for someone else’s model.
However, I made a few points on the back end, I didn’t do it for the points though.
I was giving access to users who couldn’t print the models as the designer hadn’t provided access to all printers for whatever reason.

I think those are a “one in a time deal”, so after the first 50 points it’s over.
