It’s generally considered bad manners to include links that require users to identify themselves via a login on a public forum such as this, as this is seen as an invasion of privacy. Your link has Google trackers embedded, which require users to log in before downloading. You may want to use a public upload platform or remove the access restrictions on your file if you genuinely want more people to view it.
I looked at your video. I was unaware that you’re using an A1. I am unfamiliar with the A1 Camera system. Are you using the native camera?
From the video I saw, it was apparent that there was changes in the camera zoom. If anyone here can comment on whether the A1 Camera has some type of lidar autofocus, that may explain why your seeing jumps. There are clearly zoom changing.
Also, from what the video showed, you also are using a third party tent enclosure. The silvered lining can play tricks with camera autofocus. What I saw in the frame-jumps was the camera jumping back and forth between two zoom settings. This likely cannot be changed in the software as this is typically done in firmware. Again, if anyone who is more knowledgeable about the A1 camera system can add some insights.
The big question here is: Does this happen when the 3rd party enclosure is not in place?
You can see the zoom jump at the 9-second mark, which is usually an indicator that something interfered with the camera’s distance setting. This could be caused by someone walking past a window, changing the ambient light intensity in the room and forcing the camera to recalibrate, or by something like a nearby room light being turned on. In any case, the issue is most likely caused by external interference, potentially amplified by the reflective nature of the tent enclosure. However, that’s just a theory. Removing the enclosure or keeping a nearby light on to stabilize the ambient light flow might help improve the situation.
I think you are right about the enclosure or lighting causing the inconsistent zoom.
I printed the same model twice, one with room lights on and the other with them off.
The lights on print had some zoom switching.
The lights off print had no zooming at all.
See the TestLight videos in the folder.
I will just turn timelapse fade-on mode off and manually crop.
That accounts for one of the issues, I do not see the other two being lighting related.
The time-lapse starting midway through a print is unlikely to be related to the resolved sensor issue. The time-lapse function is not hardcoded into the G-code; its behavior is controlled entirely by the firmware—something only Bambu Lab has access to. Their refusal to provide meaningful transparency about their firmware continues to leave the community in the dark.
When you open a support ticket, brace yourself for the inevitable “Send us your logs” response. This canned, unhelpful approach exemplifies their default method: forcing users to navigate a tedious process before they even acknowledge the issue. This lack of support and dismissive attitude reflects how little they value their user base. It’s an unfortunate, consistent pattern with Bambu Lab.
After looking at the logs Bambu support think its an issue with the MicroSD card speed.
Its the MicroSD that came with the printer and has no bad sectors.
I have formatted it and will re-try.
If the issue persists then I will try a faster MicroSD.
If support told you that, it is a lame answer. Yes, SD Cards are finicky in the way Bambu Labs have implemented their architecture but they don’t exhibit this type of behavior, they usually fail in a manner whereby the printer stops printing the job.
Nevertheless, if you are going to replace the card which is a good idea anyway, do so with a high endurance class 10 SD card. Don’t get caught up in the BS about brand X vs brand Y. So long as it states high endurance class 10, which is made for cameras, you should be OK.
The high endurance cards use a different type of NAND gate technology that allows for more frequent re-writes. That’s why you seem them used in dash cams which are constantly overwriting the previous data.
Here is a search link on Amazon, buy on price, not brand. Just remember that Bambu cannot access more than 32GB but that is way more than you will ever need.
