I bought two of the build plate patterns from the Bambu store and I was sort of under a misconception as to what I was getting but no major problem but just need some advice on how to best approach.
I now have 4, not two adhesive backed sheets, one in Diamond, one Carbon Fiber, one Starry, one Galaxy but only a single sheet of spring steel.
Should I just get either 1 more steel plate, or 3 more plates.
I’m leery of putting adhesive backed sheets on both sides of a single plate. Seems like the pattern on what would be the underside of plate might want to lift/deform as I flex the plate to remove print on upper side.
At a minimum I certainly need a second spring steel plate because 4 sheets, 1 plate doesn’t work.
There’s no ill affect using both sides of a plate. None at all.
No problem with stickers on both sides, I have a few plates like this and they perform very well.
The only ‘issue’ is the handling.
Unless you put on gloves you will have to give the other side a decent clean if you want to print on it.
Do yourself a favour when putting stickers on and don’t rush it!
Spray some soapy water on the plate and sticker so you can align it properly, then squeegee out the water, starting from the centre and with more pressure after the first few rounds.
Place on the bed at 40 to 50 degrees for 2 to 3 hours or just leave it sit in a warm spot for a few days to let the remaining water evaporate.
Like that you won’t get bubbles, won’t end up with a mess and only wasted a bit of time.
