Building a custom tent/enclosure

Dear Community:

I have a P1S on the way. Given that I have a habit of over complicating things, I’m already thinking about building it a little “house” …if you will… to midigate fumes.

I’m confident in my handy work skills, but the question I have is the following? How much space should I plan on leaving around the printer’s exterior? My gut says four to six inches, but aside from guessing, does any one have any experience or specific knowledge on this?

For example, the internet tells me that the P1S is roughly 16 inches wide and 18 inches deep. So that means I’m thinking that the interior of my enclosure should be about 24 wide by 26 deep.

As I type this out, that seems like a lot, do I need that much? Is the unit at risk of overheating if there is not enough “fresh air” on the exterior?

I plan on venting this to the exterior, but I think that is for a different discussion. Plus, I’ve not searched the forum for previous discussions on this. So…lets please keep this thread about recommended interior size for my P1S, “House”
