Calibrating non bambu filaments for the obxidian nozzle

Shoule i Turn off dynamic flow calibration vs manual for obxidian nozzle

Hi, i just got the obxidian e3d nozzle im kinda new with the x1c and how it works. I looked on YouTube at a video to tune the filaments and for a specific one (I think it was pressure advance) it said to turn off dynamic flow calibration. So at some point if you find the appropriate values are you supposed to turn off dynamic flow calibration? And if so which is the setting that when the right value is found the auto calibration should be turned off?
I’m really struggling to properly tune non-Bambu filaments (especially Polymaker PETG) for my 0.4mm ObXidian nozzle on the X1C. I know Bambu provides optimized profiles for their own filaments, but when using third-party ones, I’m not sure which slicer settings actually need to be adjusted to take advantage of the ObXidian’s benefits.

I’ve been using the standard profiles as a baseline(for polymaker i got theirs from their website for baseline), but prints just aren’t coming out as clean as they should — sometimes inconsistent extrusion, other times smudged first layers.

If you’ve had success tuning third-party filaments for the ObXidian, which settings did you find most important to tweak? Flow ratio? Temperature? Retraction? Would love to hear what worked for others.

Thanks for the input
