Calibration stuck in loop

I have tried to run calibration twice on my P1P, started it in both the app and from bambu studio.

Both times it got stuck and just kept repeating the same movements over and over, the tool head would make diagonal movements in the rear corners. The remaining time didn’t change and after about 20 minutes I used the panel to end the ‘print’.

Anyone else seen this behaviour?

If that were my X1C you were calibrating, I’d say you cancelled the calibration about 30 seconds before it completed.

I can try it again, 3rd time lucky maybe…

I also got an HMS error the first time around, have never seen that before or since.

The same movements over and over sounds like the new motor noise calibration (movements do get faster over time though). On my X1C it takes over 15 minutes alone, so 20 minutes is no longer enough for a full calibration.

I tried it again yesterday and it completed in around 30 minutes, I’m not sure the exact time as I was not watching closely.

The thing that was confusing was that the remaining time, on the screen, was at 9 minutes for a long time. But it seems to have worked so I am happy.

Perhaps there should be some info to explain that the remaining time isn’t accurate as it depends on the process.
