Started last night, I use my Nvidia card and have fine until last night when I click on the camera feed BS and Orca both crash unless I use the intel graphics which is too laggy when previewing models. No updates that I know of or see on my end but I could be missing something obvious. Using windows 11 with a 4080, Tia.
I am on a 4080 Ti with no problems. If the application is crashing when running, this could be most likely that either the driver or the application is causing the issue. Best troubleshooting I can provide you is to:
-
Check if there is any update available (I know there is none for Bambu Studio. Not sure if the new version of Orca can cause the issue. I have not installed the new version yet.)
-
Uninstall and reinstall. Orca, Bambu Studio and the NVIDIA applications and drivers. (You may want to search some apps or NVIDIA website on how to clean uninstall, this means locating where the drivers are installed and deleting some registry data a.k.a regedit. If you are not comfortable in doing so just do the standard and usual uninstall then reinstall it again.)
-
Lastly try to disable the built-in Intel GPU on the motherboard and see if it makes any difference.
It doesn’t take much to run BL Studio whether you’re slicing or dicing. Make sure your Windows 11 is up to date since Studio uses Microsoft Media Player for the camera view.
I say it doesn’t take much because I can run Studio, FreeCAD, Meshmixer, Inkscape, Canvas Workspace and LightBurn on my little 4"x4"x2" PC mounted to the back of my display and still be able to check Email. It’s enough to make a game player cry. Here’s a Speccy Display of my system.
Got it fixed, fully disabled integrated graphics all together. Not sure why it quit working all of a sudden, settings were the same and no recent updates so idk but works fine now and can have fusion 360, multiple slicers at once and even YouTube running like normal without a hiccup
Got it fixed but I did notice now on 2.0.0 if you collapse the menu in the preview screen for lines and flow etc you’ll see your cpu usage jump around a lot, at least on my intel 19500. Not a huge deal but could be an issue for some with slower cpu’s
Orca is crashing when I turn on the camera feed. I’m using a new Asus Zenbook 14 with Intel Arc graphics. I didn’t have this issue on my previous computer. Any suggestions?
