Camera not working for Windows users with restricted rights

The dll for the camera to work in Bambu Studio is registered under system settings in the Windows registry pointing to another user’s folder and can’t be re-registered by a user with restricted rights. That’s simply bad sw design. As if no one at Bambu was caring about Windows installations in the wild with restricted rights’ users.

The solution for me is to copy the three *.dll to another folder and change the key in the Windows registry so that it points to that folder. Works for me.

Could be solved by Bambu.

If you know what the .dll is you can enable it for anybody with access to the system, why are you creating problems when there aren’t any? If you don’t understand system admin thats one thing but if you know where to dig to find .dll’s then you should understand basic admin preferences

Because he shouldn’t have to.

Me creating problems? Pardon me, I’m not quite sure who u r talking to.

WHO cares about that WHO or what you are? Nobody…

thx 4 the clarification

We have just setup our first X1C in a school environment and have come across the same camera playback issue where it works if logged on to an administrator level account but doesn’t when using a standard restricted account. Can you confirm the best process to use to get around this issue. Thanks.
