Can I tell the AMS my RFID Spool is a different colour?

I rewound a spool of black PLA onto one of the Bambu empty spools I was given. Unfortunately that spool seems to have RFID for white PLA.
Can I tell the printer it is actually black PLA?
The normal edit option on the printer itself seems disabled when it reads RFID.
Otherwise can I block it reading the RFID easily?
It is a pain when slicing/printing trying to select the right colours otherwise

You need to remove RFID circuit unless you use the same colour as original. Simply tear it out of paper spool core. I use several BBL spools with 3rd party PLA this way.

Yep, I’ve snipped the RFID off the Bambu matte black and stuck it onto a spool of overture Matte black and it printed fine. Just used some double sided carpet tape.
