If the Screen is defect (no Menues to see, but Printing by Use of Studio is possible) how can one reset the X1C and or connect it to a new WLAN by Using of only Studio or Handy App, without Screen?
Studio, yes. Handy, nope. But I would rather suggest you looking for that answer in Bambu’s Wikipedia.
How do you reset the X1C or connect it to a new WLAN using Studio?
Maybe my coffee is not working yet this morning…
Just replaced my ADSL with optical fiber earlier this morning (thus different settings and IP) and had to reset my WLAN connection from scratch. Took a while to get it working again (and approximately 2 large cappuccinos and 3 triple espressos to complete this) but eventually I did it and afterwards I’ve successfully re-paired my Studio and Handy with my X1C. Currently, I’m happily printing again. So, perhaps it’s the amount and strength of the coffee intake that’s a determining factor… I can’t really tell. But I know that I’ve relied on my Studio and Bambu’s wiki to complete all this.
OK, I’m on my second cup of coffee now, and the first one seems to have me buzzing.
I have reviewed the Wiki again, but I still do not see any way to connect an X1C to a new network without a working touch screen, or to reset the printer.
The only way to connect to an X1C is via wifi. Without a screen to select the wifi network and enter the password, I do not see how Studio can connect to the printer.
The network configuration for a P1 or A1 can be set using an SDcard, but the X1 series is not included in that Wiki article. Even if that method was a possibility, with an inoperative screen it is also doubtful that the SDcard slot is working either.
Give it time to work its “charm” on you… eventually you’ll get there…
You’re correct in your assumptions though; I did use my SD card to input my new Wi-Fi settings environment in the X1C. I could also have done it using its screen (mine works still), but I chose the SD card mod, to avoid having to redo the process when yhe printer sort off forgets everything and I have to redo everything again…which was also the main reason for switching to optical fiber (+ the added benefit of additional up/down speed and reliability).
