Can we upload Ocra 3mf for a print profile on MW

Since today I have a lot of issues with BS. As for now it’s crashing on a loop.
And Orca seems to work well and has some advantages over BS.
So the question is : is it possible to upload a Orca 3mf on MW for a print profile (not a raw file)?

I don’t think you can. Their internal system needs to be able to handle the file for the cloud slicing, app, and that stuff, so wouldn’t be compatible. It wont work with the beta version of Bambu Studio either.

Thanks. yep that’s what I’m thinking too. I’ll stick to BS then. It stops crashing fortunately

Josh is right, Orca files do not work on Makerworld as print profiles. As someone who mainly uses Orca i have to export it from there, import it back to Bambu studio, export again and then finally upload to makerworld as a print profile.

Simple awnser?
No.

You have to use Bambu Studio.

Hey, I’m a total noob - so sorry in advance in case my question is stupid. xD

No matter how I import something from Orca Slicer into Bambu Studio - the settings for Quality, Strength and so on are not set. So I have to do this manually - which is not a big deal.
But there are some settings in Orca Slicer that don’t exist in Bambu Studio. But somehow the creator of the original print profile had this setting included in his profile. How is this possible?

For example: I want to set “Ensure vertical shell thickness” to “Moderate” - but the Bambu Studio only has the checkbox for true/false.

Thanks for any help. :see_no_evil:

If someone could be arsed to, there’s a lot of similar settings that Orca, Bambu and Prusa 3MF could be cross-compatible, save for handful of settings… Just needs to make them interoperable

As to your question: I never managed to directly transfer my settings from one to another, so I’m doing it manually. If someone managed to do an advanced setting that’s not normally available in BS - ask them how. DM them

Thank you. =) The idea of contacting the person and just asking is so simple that I feel a little bit stupid that I didn’t think about it myself.

So I did just that a couple of minutes ago. We’ll see … =)

And if they share, please share too! I’m quite interested now

Of course, I will let you know. :slightly_smiling_face:

Okay, so after a little back and forth … I’m at the exact same point.

The only “answer” for my specific question was that he created the model in Fusion 360, imported the STL into Bambu Studio and “optimized the various parameters”. That’s all - although I asked for the specific setting that is not available in Bambu Studio - or there are not as many possible values for that setting.

So for now I guess I have to accept that I can’t make all the settings fit his original profile. :woman_shrugging:
As it is a really small print, I will just print it again with the slightly different profile to make sure that everything is okay.

But maybe one day I will find out how to make it possible.
