Can you change z hop by layer? TPU with PVA support

I have a part I print and sell that I would like to clean up by using pva support. The support is only needed the first 4mm and is bowl shaped. I think I can print the support first by setting the walls, top, bottom and infill to zero. Then reprint the part in tpu without any support but I need a z hop of 5mm to get over and inside the existing pva support.
After the purge line it does not z hop so I have to import a second 1 layer object to the side to print first and then have a 5mm z hop to inside the support. I can’t figure out how to set the z hop back to zero after first layer.

Hello,

What you are wanting to do will need a custom start G-code with Z offsets and disable bed leveling and X-Y bed home location depending on your pva support location.

You will need to be good at editing the start G-code.

I would also do it with two files:

1 = PVA supports this will get bed leveling done.
2 = TPU bowl with the custom start G-code

Yeah I think the only way to do it is by modifying the start gcode.

You may print using external spool holder and set a pause in filament change g-code (if there is only one filament change)

EDIT: or add pause or filament change at layer height by right click on preview layer bar (and chage the filament)

I think I got it working. I print the support only, then reprint my part but without support. To get it to clear the top of the support I first print a 5mm tall cylinder on the side with print sequence by object. After the cylinder is printed it moves over and then down to start back at 0.2mm inside the pva support.
