Hi all, I’ve recently switched my router to a Eero Pro 6, which runs on both 2.4 and 5GHz. Since I’ve switched, I haven’t been able to connect to my A1 on Bambu Studio and it’s just constantly stuck “Connecting…”. I have been able to connect to the A1 on Bambu Handy though.
So far I’ve tried power cycling my printer numerous times; turning off 5GHz for a short amount of time and then reconnecting my printer to wifi whilst there’s only 2.4GHz running; factory resetting; port forwarding; checking my firewall on windows; and LAN only mode. None of these seem to work besides LAN only mode, and even then, that only works if I’m very lucky.
I’ve heard that some people setup a separate 2.4GHz router with a unique SSID for the printer to connect to, however that’s not really an acceptable solution for me as I don’t want to have to fork out loads of extra money for a separate router. Other people also have setup guest networks that only run at 2.4GHz, but again, I can’t do that with my router. Honestly, I’m think I’m out of options here.
Does anyone have any idea on how I could fix this or if anyone shares the same problem as me?
I hate spending money as much as the next person but you don’t need a fancy router, any of the $20 ones on amazon would be fine.
Only other thing I would try is a fresh install of bambu slicer on a different PC and see if the problem still persists, but it’s more than likely a conflict between your new router and the printer. You might also want to contact eero support because this might be a known issue that they have a solution for.
Yeah, I’ve installed Bambu Slicer on my laptop but I still have the same problem. Ideally, I would really want to keep the router option as a last resort though (plus I’d need to find a way to connect it up to my eero since that only has 1 ethernet port which is being used for my desktop).
I’ll give contacting eero support a go. Maybe they have a solution for it, though I do think this problem is pretty niche.
Your options then would be either getting a standalone gigabit switch ($15) and the router ($20) or spending more ($25-$35) on a router with gigabit ports.
Hopefully eero support can help because if everything was working prior to switching to eero, then eero is more than likely the problem.
I’ve got similar problem after firmware update.
I still can send prints, but “device” tab in bambu studio is empy, I can’t manage temperature, control x- y- z- axes, can’t connect to camera, and sending files to the printer taking a lot of time.
I still have no solution to this problem. I tried to connect with another wi-fi net, downgrade firmware, reconnect printer to bambu studio and reinstall Bambu studio. Nothing changes.
Nope, the SSIDs and passwords are different. I’m currently using FTP to send my files over network to the printer now, but still would like to have this problem resolved.
Having similar issues as the OP. Everything working fine one day then not the next.
Here is what has been happening.
After going through the binding process for both handy and studio I get the printer in my device list as expected. Problem is, the network icon is greyed out with a little red icon over it. Have tried everything I can think or find but still no resolution.
I have Starlink that runs 5 and 2.4Gb and can seperate them into different networks. This I did. Studio, iPhone and A1 all on same network printer and handy app on phone all good. A1 and Studio I get the printer there but greyed out network. All 3 devices are logged into my Bambu lab username and password as well as a seperate 2.4Gb network on my Starlink router. As far as I can determine the router is not blocking any ports the router needs.
Is this familiar to anyone on this forum?
Is there a solution, not a workaround LAN only based one?
