I’m still not able to create filament presets with the latest Studio as of 22/03/2024.
No matter which method of creating a custom filament, I keep running into issues with creating filament presets.
Is there a fix for this?

Can you describe the procedure for creating a custom filament? Also, the OS and BStudio versions.

Since upgrading to the newest version of Studio, Bambu_Studio_win-v01.10.01.50 I can’t create a custom filament. For some reason it can’t find a printer, no matter what I do. Is it me or the software?

I really find difficult to create a custom filament. It’s really crazy that such a famous brand creates a SW with problems in creating filaments profiles.Even in the printer menu, Lot’s of preloaded profiles (unuseful for 90% considering the amuount of brands ad filaments on the market) and very complicatet, often impossible to create your custom that must be the preferred way.
For me it’s also impossible to delete a user preset (not a filament). My next printer probably won’t be a BL

2 years later and I’m still running into issues… you’re not alone 
Probably I’vent understood the logic behind because also trying orcaslicer I still can’t feel the boss of my printer and AMS.
I want just to give a name to a custom filement and force it on bambu studio and on the right AMS slot to match.
Nothing, the sincronize wins and destroy my wishes.
I remember 10 years ago, my first experiences on slice3d… you could do whatever you wanted with the filaments
Don’t hit sync if you don’t want your slicer filament selections getting modified/rewritten… it’s doing exactly what you’re telling it to do, to rewrite your slicers info
You assign the ams filaments either on the device itself, or in the slicer on the device tab
